  • One more week left in Bahamas-Getting Sad

We spent the afternoon at Gradma Freddies--So much for losing weight!!  We had soursop for dessert--neat fruit if you have never had it.  Freddie has a tree right out back.  The fruit is about the size of an eggplant.  Its fruit is like eating a sweet and sour wet cotton ball--if you like rubarb--you need to try it.

Here are some shots of last week--enjoy

  • Grammie Freddie

Damian, Allison's husband just picked up his Mum, Freddie, from the airport.  She is doing well.  She is now getting a fresh fill of grandson, Rowan.  Isn't it funny how we Grandparents just need a general fix of grandkids now that we have them.

My neighbor Chris, "Do I really have to share?!"

  • Freddie's shed is coming along

Yesterday, Sammy, Damian, and I finished the final wall of Freddie's shed.  We also hung the new door.  We are hoping to be able to start the roof tomorrow night.  It is so hot during the day so we will start around 6 PM and go until around 8.  I am thinking it will take three or 4 nights altogether.

Today's service at "Grace" in the Bahamas focused on the Bahamaland's 34th independance coming up the 10th.  It was a good service focusing on historical information and the life of William Wilberforce and how his conversion to Christ helped shape the turning point of slavery in Great Britain.

After church, we the boys had lunch at Ms. Hanna's (short ribs, chicken, peas'n rice, salad and plantain, ain't gonna lose no weight that way), and Allison and Rowan had a birthday party to attend.

Damian and I got a quick swin in at about 7:45PM and now all is getting quite quiet.  Allison just came out from putting Rowan down--it took about three minutes--he is out cold.

"Dear Lord--Keep back the heat just a bit longer!!"

  • Rowan's still 'growan'

Spent the day at Rowan's Grammy's house while Grandpa of the North was helping to repair the storage shed with new siding.  Of course Grandpa only worked three hours then called it a day--he did get a bit of a sun burn.  I keep telling him he needs to put on the sun screen.

Another beautiful evening at Goodman Bay on the north shore.
